About Counterfeit Australia

With an explosion in online shopping across the world, scammers are making billions of dollars each year from the unsuspecting public by faking branded products. From cosmetics to shoes to aircraft parts, nothing is out of their reach.

Counterfeit Australia can guess that the most likely reason you are looking at this website is because you or a close friend or relation has been scammed. Either through receiving a product that is fake, or receiving something that is not what you thought you were purchasing, or you simply did not receive what you paid for.

Over many years of operations we hear the same stories of people not receiving what they paid for and then the countless hours spent trying to get a refund or an exchange. Sometimes you might get an offer of discounts for some additional products, or sometimes a part refund is offered, but you have to send the product back with the postage sometimes costing more than what you paid for the product. Then there is reporting the scam to the authorities. In a nutshell, no one wants to know and simply keeps passing the buck. "Call the AFP" or "Call Scamwatch" or "Call Consumer Protection", but then the same old story: "Go to our website or send us an email and we will look in to it". Then finally the realisation that you have lost your money.

Whilst these scenarios are typical, there are of course sellers such a "Vine" which is an Australia-based clothing retailer with an excellent reputation of great customer service. We get much great feedback relating to their products. This is only one of many companies that do the right thing, but then there are the scammers who pretend to be resellers for Vine yet when the product arrives you wouldn't dry your dishes with it. These are the scammer we are interested in.

Counterfeit Australia has a vast network of resources and sophisticated technology which allows us to look deeper at these scammers and in many instances negotiate a refund or at the least, close the scammers business down. We do this in a legal and very effective method.

Note that we are not funded by the government or the major brands, we are just tired of the lack of action from the authorities who, in their defence, are simply overwhelmed with scam complaints.

We are able to take your report and refund efforts a few steps further for you. For a modest fee based proportionally on the amount of your lost money, we will actively pursue the scammer to recover your money. To this effect we will engage with you once you submit your report with us, to work out some basic details.
